Sneak Peak

The sneak peak is on you this time! Help me plan classes and tutorials for the new year by filling out my end-of-the-year survey.

One lucky respondent will win a year of Skillshare membership.

Deadline to fill out the survey is 12/31/24.

Quick Tip

If you have a bunch of layers that start at different points on the timeline, and you want to organize them by when they start, there’s a free script for that! It comes with After Effects so you should already have it installed.

Go to File > Scripts and choose Sort Layers by In Point.

Random Recommendation

I listen to a lot of podcasts when pushing pixels (aka design work that doesn’t involve too much deep thinking). One that consistently has insightful and interesting episodes is the Next Big Idea. They interview authors of new, bestselling non-fiction books so I find a lot of good reads from this podcast. One episode I recently enjoyed was about Yuval Noah Harari’s book, Nexus. If you like conversations about how the future could look, you’ll like this episode. I haven’t read the book yet, but I’ve recommended Harari’s other book, Sapiens, in the past.

Happy Animating!

Megan

*These tools have been updated since I created these resources, but the idea and general workflow remains the same.
