I also released a lesson from my class, Illustrate with Shapes: Design Vector Graphics in Adobe Illustrator, as a preview on YouTube!

🤫 Sneak Peak

I’m working on an Adobe Illustrator tips video and a bonus (but stand-alone) video for my class, Reusable Motion Graphics for Video.

I’m also working on the first video for my new YouTube channel, Explanimated, where I’ll be making solutions-focused explainer videos on environmental issues. I’m so excited to share this with you!

⚡ Quick Tip

In your After Effects timeline, if you need to select all but a few layers:

  • Select the layers you don’t need (likely just a few layers)
  • Right click and choose Invert Selection

It’s also easy to select all the children of a layer:

  • Right click on the parent layer
  • Choose Select Children

👉 Random Recommendation

If you’re in the motion design industry, there’s a good chance you’ve come across the incredible work of Sarah Beth Morgan. Her career has mostly focused on illustration for motion design, but she recently launched a podcast called Ghost Frame, where she talks about her “career crisis”. I’m way behind in my podcast queue so I’ve only listened to the first episode so far, but I found it so relatable (I’ll share more about that later). I don’t know Sarah Beth and she didn’t ask me to say this - I’m just a fan 🙂
