Here's a cheat sheet of Ae Keyboard Shortcuts that goes with the video.

After Effects Fundamentals Guide

I just finished a 16-page, printable guide to go with my popular After Effects Fundamentals Series.

This guide contains all the notes you’ll need to remember how to do fundamental things in After Effects.

Download the guide

When you download the guide, you’ll also get an exercise that you can do to practice as you watch the video lessons. Instructions for the exercise are here.

🤫 Sneak Peak

Last month, I opened up a survey, but got busy and never closed it (or chose a winner, so thank you for your patience).

I’m going to close the survey on July 3rd, so there’s still time…

What do you want to learn next? Help me decide where to focus, for both new courses and YouTube videos, by filling out this 5-question survey:

By filling out the survey, you’ll be entered to win either a year of Skillshare membership, or free access to my new course, After Effects, Explained (your choice).

Thank you for helping me help you!

⚡ Quick Tip

Keeping with the theme of shortcuts (from the tutorial and cheat sheet above), here are some handy ones:

  • U to reveal all keyframes
  • UU to reveal modified properties
  • E to reveal effects
  • EE to reveal expressions
  • M to reveal masks

For all of these shortcuts, if you have a layer, or multiple layers selected, it will show you these things for the selected layer/s. If you don’t have any layers selected, it will reveal this on all the layers.

👉 Random Recommendation

I recently watched The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist. I won’t say much because I don’t want to spoil anything. I’ll just say, I think it’s worth a watch 👀.
